L. Taborelli, Medicamenta e aromata in “area marchigiana”, p. 51-63
Abstract: The research concerns the mid-Adriatic area in Roman times and has as subject the medicaments and cosmetics and their ‘commercial geography’ (production, trade, consumption). Since these substances have left no tangible traces, in their place the glass containers that contained those substances are studied (with messages written on their surfaces); the locations where the containers were found are also considered. Finally, the special stone tablets are studied, which were used in the preparation of cosmetics and medicaments, found around the region in several locations. Aromata, medicamenta, marks (on glass), glass unguentaria, stone coticulae.

Abstract: During the season 2011 of the archaeological research in the ancient town of Suasa, in the Ager Gallicus, a large part of the main paved urban road has been discovered. The road, dated at the imperial age, crossed the central part of the city running in front of the Forum. On the opposite side there are several houses and other buildings with a public function.
Abstract: This article deals with the excavation of a Roman production plant which was accidentally discovered in the territory of Monsampolo del Tronto. As its structure suggests, the building was probably used to produce and store oil or wine. Two adjoining spaces were found: a western one having a “cocciopesto” floor which was at a slightly higher level than the eastern space. The latter had a rough floor which included space for a dolium defossum. The archeological excavation brought to light fragments of stamped tiles, that are examined in this article. Production plant, Monsampolo, cocciopesto, dolium defossum, instrumentum.

Abstract: During the last ten years, Urbino Speleological Team (GSU) has been carring on an intense activity of exploration, cathalogation and study, of natural and artificial cavities. Here is introduced the discovery of a Roman acqueduct, under Urbino, which had a long exsistence, as it is proved by many signs of different ages: from the beginning of the twentieth century, going back, through the Renaissence, to the Romn Era. This might be the aqueduct build by roman magistrate, Vesidieno Basso, which was known only by an epigraph, until today. Urbino, roman aqueduc, artificial cavities, speleology.
